Over the weekend, I finished editing the first Podcast for the World Yoshukai Karate Kobudo Organization (WYKKO). It took a little longer than I had expected, but I was amazed at the ease and the amount of free tools available to create Podcasts. All you need is a computer, a microphone, and a dream… well at least a computer and a microphone.
What is a Podcast? A Podcast episode is nothing more than a MP3 audio file
that you download from the Internet. Once you download the file, you can either
listen to it on your computer or transfer it to an MP3 player (for example: an
iPod).
The only things you absolutely need to have in order to listen to Podcasts are an
Internet connection, a computer, and an audio player. There are many free audio
players available for download: Windows Media Player, iTunes, Quicktime, Winamp, Foobar 2000, etc.
Chances are that you have one or more of these programs already installed on
your computer.
